‘Cooch Behar Sishukishor Sanstha’ is a registered SO151714 of 2008-2009 (S/IL/51714) organization working in the field of all-rounded development of the children and the adolescents – their educational, intellectual, cultural, and behavioral faculties. In the so-called modern age of mechanization and consumerism, we observe that the child is the most affected segment as they either encaged or rush under the rolling eyes of their parents, teachers, and tutors. In this process they are, sometimes made machines or lost in the world of darkness.
It is at this juncture, that we came out with an offer of Eldorado for the young ones at the weekend-long back in the year 2008. We, some thoughtful young and old men and women of Cooch Behar, considered it fit to have an open-air playground for our community children in our locality to give them the opportunity to come out under the open sky to
express themselves. We also picked up some specially-abled children to add them to the mainstream. This was our very right and bright decision. Now after thirteen years of a successful journey in this mission, we may definitely say that ours is a jewel organization that is brightening the lives of its child members whether they are normal or special. Today ‘CoochBehar Shishu kishor Sanstha’ is a name in the city that is identified with the educational, cultural, and special development of the children.

Coochbehar Shishu Kishor Sanstha dreams to give children an opportunity to come out under the open sky to express themselves. We want to organize various of creative activities for children and adolecents.
Our aim is to brighten the lives of every children of our community whether they are normal or special. We want to encourage children in developing their talent and skills of recitation, drama, singing, dancing etc.
- To develop cultural practice among children and adolescents, the society will arrange seminars, workshops competitions on recitation, drama, dance, music, painting, etc.
- The society will organize various creative activities for children and adolescents. Publishing Periodicals, Journals.
- To arrange excursions and training camps to develop an awareness of nature and the environment.
- To arrange training and performance on various folk cultural activities for children and adolescents.
- To arrange different programs and training on sports, physical exercise and to promote cultural activities for the children and adolescents.
- The children and adolescents are to be motivated to go to the library, the museum for further studies, and establish a library for the children and adolescents.
- To inculcate public protest against violence to children-right, various abuses to children and adolescents.
